All Hololens need a Microsoft account linked to the device. You will be prompted to select on setting up the device:

My work or school owns it:

This requires an Azure AD account. This requires central management from your IT department. If you are choosing this option you will need your Azure AD credentials (which may redirect you to your organizations sign-in page).

I own it:

This is just a personal Microsoft account (you can set one up for free here )

Many of our clients often prefer utilizing this option, creating a single account that all devices are signed into, due to the lower administrative burden it creates.

However you should, if applicable, consult with your IT department regarding your particular policy/security needs.
